Club Constitution

THE CLUB shall be called “The Woodlander Initiative”. It may at times be abbreviated to “TWI”.

THE OBJECTS of the Club shall be:

  • The provision of opportunities for recreation and self sufficiency through land ownership.
  • The encouragement of community and fraternity.
  • The encouragement of localism and nationalism in direct opposition to globalism.
  • The encouragement of self employment. Financial and skills based assistance for those members starting their own business when possible.

 

MEMBERSHIP

Membership is open to those persons who agree with and endorse the following principles.

  1. It is understood that The Woodlander Initiative is a British organisation working to improve the future and safeguard the freedoms of the British people.
  2. The Woodlander Initiative is opposed to the unethical interference of globalist institutions and organisations in the lives of the British people.
  3. The Woodlander Initiative is not a political organisation and has no affiliation with any political party.
  4. The Woodlander Initiative recognises the British people as a distinct group comprising of the English, Welsh, Scots and Irish.

The Club Committee shall have the power to refuse membership without assigning any reason therefor, with an understanding that membership is not withheld on grounds set out in anti discrimination legislation.

All members will be required to provide a name and a contact email address.

Membership of the Club shall entitle a person to enter the members area of the website and eligibility for purchasing shares in THE WOODLANDER INITIATIVE LTD.

Only members of The Woodlander Inititive can purchase or own shares in THE WOODLANDER INITIATIVE LTD.
 

OFFICERS AND CLUB COMMITTEE

The Officers of the Club shall be a Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer.

The Club Committee shall consist of these officers and any other members elected at the Annual General Meeting of the Club.

The Club Committee shall have powers of co-option in the event of vacancies occurring in their number, and shall manage the affairs of the Club generally; it shall have power to appoint subcommittees for such purposes as it may deem appropriate.
 

SUBSCRIPTIONS

All members of the Club shall pay such subscriptions as the Club Committee may from time to time so determine.
 

NON-PAYMENT OF SUBSCRIPTIONS

If any member shall fail to pay his subscription within twenty-one days after it shall have become due, the Secretary shall send him a notice in writing to his address in the books of the Club calling upon him to pay the same within seven days.

If he shall fail so to pay his subscription, the Club Committee shall be entitled to terminate his membership without further notice.
 

EXPULSION OF MEMBERS

The Committee may expel from the Club any member whose conduct is such as shall, in the opinion of the Club Committee, be injurious to the character or interests of the Club, or render him unfit to associate with other members.

Before a member is expelled, his conduct shall be enquired into by the Club Committee, and he shall be given full opportunity to defend himself and to justify or explain his conduct.

If the majority of the Club Committee present at such an enquiry are of the opinion that the member has been guilty of any such conduct he may be called upon to resign, and if he does not resign they may expel him.

A member expelled shall forfeit all privileges of membership.
 

MEETINGS

An Annual General Meeting of the Club shall be held every year and there shall not be more than fifteen months between one Annual General Meeting and the next.

Notice of the day and time of the Annual General Meeting shall be posted on the website for a period of at least fourteen days before such day.

A General Meeting of the Club may be summoned at any time by the Club Committee and shall be so summoned immediately upon any twenty ordinary members delivering to the Club Committee a written request in that behalf.

A General Meeting shall be summoned by causing notice thereof to be given, as in the case of an Annual General Meeting, but the period of fourteen days’ notice may be abridged if in the discretion of the Club Committee the urgency of the business to be discussed so requires.

At any General Meeting of the Club any member shall be entitled to be present, and every member shall be entitled to one vote on every question raised.
 

ALTERATION OF RULES

These rules may be revoked, added to or altered by a majority of two-thirds or more of the members present at, and entitled to vote at, any General Meeting of the Club of which notice has been duly given specifying the proposed revocation, addition or alteration.
 

RECORDS

Every member shall keep the Secretary informed of his email address or of some other address at which communications may be addressed to him.
 

INTERPRETATION OF THE RULES

The Club Committee shall be the sole authority for the interpretation of these rules, and the decision of the Club Committee upon any question of interpretation or upon any matter affecting the Club and not provided for by these rules shall be final and binding to the members.
